KB_MS MOD
Ok, I had to "mod" a Logitech Keyboard and an Optical Mouse to match my Case mode....  well I wouldnt say "Mod" but maybe repainted them to match the Case.
I think I bit off a little more than what I can chew with the KB, I ended up sanding all the keys to remove the existing lettering before I could paint them, but now I am having a hard time finding or figuring out a way to get the letters and such back on the keys.... anybody have an Idea let me know....

I started out with a Logitech Multimedia Keyboard.... This is the keyboard that actually came with my Shuttle XPC that I won in the Shuttle Competition......
After removing the screws from the bottom of the KB case I found 2 other screws hidden under the keys on the front, one under the tab and caps lock key and another under the + key of the number pad. So if your keyboard does not come apart when all the screws on the bottom are removed, most likely they have some hidden on the top!
(dont pay attention to all the dust on the KB, this thing has been sitting on a shelf for a while!)
This looks like it is going to be more work than I thought!! The keys are actually attached to the face plate! I was going to leave the Keys black to preserve their lettering, but the way it looks I will have to repaint all the keys also!!
Now, we need to keep all the little parts, including the wire frames that come off the KB, in a bag to keep them safe and all together. We wouldnt want to loose any of the keys now, do we?
I ended up sanding all the lettering embossed onto the KB face including the Logitech Logo..... After a few coats of plastic sandable primer and some wet sanding in between, I painted the KB the same color Metallic Teal as the case and accented it with the Sunburst Orange.....
I am going to keep all the media buttons the same silver color they are....... I think that would look good against the metallic Teal......
I ended up using the grooves in the kb to mask off areas for the 2 colors of paint....
Now on to the fun part!!!! I have to sand each key to remove the letter that is printed on it before the keys can be primered, then painted.
After everything was painted, I applied a few coats of clear coat to protect the finish, and hopefully give us a chip resistant finish, all I have left to do on the KB is possibly change the LEDs to blue ones to match the case lighting, and add the letters back onto the keys!.... Now on to the Mouse!
The mouse was painted the same color scheme as the Kb, ofcourse to match the case color, duh! It ended being a lot easier to paint this MS than the keyboard, I didnt have to mask off anything since each part that is a differrent color is actually a separte part that snaps onto the mouse casing. I am going to change the red LED in the MS to a blue one once I get them in....
And there you have it, it isn't really a Mod but a paint job to match the case.......
